Savills Investment Management has made three new appointments as it moves to strengthen its research capabilities, including a new head of research for the UK.
The appointments include Matthias Düsing as senior research analyst based in Munich; Hamish Smith as head of research, UK; and Matteo Vaglio Gralin as senior research analyst focusing on the Southern European markets and France. The appointments double the size of the team to six.
Düsing joins from CBRE, where he worked for over four years; Smith has 4.5 years’ experience in the real estate industry and more than 12 years as an economist, he joins from Capital Economics; Gralin joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was associate director.
Andreas Trumpp, MRICS, head of research, Europe, at Savills IM, says: “I am very pleased that our European research team is now complete and that we have gained three highly skilled experts with many years of experience. With this strong team we will continue to expand our real estate research and our positioning as an innovative pioneer. In our Outlook 2020 report, which we will publish at the beginning of December, all analysts have their say and present our expectations for the coming year. We also plan to publish two more sector-specific reports by the end of the second quarter of 2020.”
