Battersea Power Station Development Company has appointed Janet Bishopp as head of property management and operations.
She was previously at Hammerson where she spent five years as operations director and spent five years and head of shopping centre management. Before that she spent 15 years managing estates for John Lewis, Tesco and Asda.
Bishopp started at the company today. She is leading the team managing Circus West Village, the first phase of the 42-acre redevelopment. Bishopp and her team will also provide operational and design input to the Power Station and Electric Boulevard areas of the roject which together comprise nearly 3m sq ft of mixed use space and which will complete in 2021.
Simon Murphy, chief executive of BPSDC, said: “This is a pivotal time in the development’s journey as we focus on preparing the Power Station to open for business. As well as Janet’s previous experience of leading successful teams, she brings with her a wealth of property management expertise that will be vital as we work to cement this iconic project as one of London’s leading and vibrant riverside destinations.
